    We recommend choosing wood pellets sold by UAB "Manufakta", which are made from coniferous wood.

  • Why are coniferous pellets the most appropriate choice?

    People naturally think that because hardwood firewoods have a higher BTU and burn longer in a wood stove, the same should apply to pellets. However, the differences between hardwood and coniferous wood pellets are not the same as with firewoods. 


    Here are some facts below: 

    • They burn cleaner and hotter, emitting more consistent heat. 
    • They contain more resins, which have a higher heat value than wood fiber. 
    • They ignite faster than hardwood pellets. 
    •  They do not emit a bad odor when burned.

  • How much do wood pellets cost?

  • If stored for an extended period, will mold affect the pellets?

    Pellets should be stored in a dry, cool environment, but they are thermally processed and have antiseptic properties, making them resistant to mold and bacteria.

  • Are wood pellets only suitable for biofuel?

    They can also be used as bedding/litter for animals: rodents, cats, horses, etc. Our pellets are safe, processed at high temperatures during manufacturing. Animals do not eat them, and they do not cause allergies.

  • What does moisture content in pellets determine?

    The lower the moisture level of the pellets, the more efficient the burning. We recommend choosing pellets with a moisture content of no more than 10%.

  • Why is the ash/dust emission important when choosing pellets?

    It determines the simplicity of pellet storage and the maintenance of the stove or boiler. The less ash produced when burning pellets, the less frequently one needs to clean the stove or boiler. Our offered wood pellets emit no more than 0.7% ash and 0.5% dust. This is an exceptionally low figure.
